Attacking New-Atheism - Even in the Hallowed Halls of Academia

The goal is to put the amazing little book, The Power of Jude (judepower.org), into the Kindle, iPad, Nook and other ebook devices of all of our Catholic college and university students. Let the hallowed halls of academia learn of the indisputable powers of St. Jude.

Legend has it that in the Dakota farmlands of a hundred years ago, St. Jude devotees traveled by horseback and wagon from parish to parish, staying a couple of days, delivering the St. Jude message and the power of prayer, and moving on. Seventeen years ago, we at SJOI delivered a St. Jude message by publishing our inspirational prayer book, The Power of Jude, and delivering and mailing it here and there. Today there’s no need to deliver the message by horseback or mail. There’s not even a need to speak or print the message. Today we have the potential of instantly cyberspacing The Power of Jude to all of the English speaking world for downloading to their Kindle, iPad, Nook or other ebook device. What took weeks and months and years in the past can take less time than it takes to read this message. What hasn’t changed is the need for the message, particularly in many of today’s colleges and universities, with their oft-times anti-God and anti-prayer bias. And it’s those young people who’ll initially have the Kindles and other devices - it'll have all their textbooks at one convenient place, at presumably bargain prices. So, our mission is updated - to join with others in getting The Power of Jude into the eReaders of our college and university students for their benefit, and as a  potential first step in helping them advocate “prayer works,” even in the hallowed halls of academia.  Our Catholic children and grandchildren may be disillusioned by recent Church actions. They may feel liberated with no need for prayer books like The Power of Jude. But, if we put the books in their eReader library now, the books will most likely stay there, even when they buy upgraded eReaders. So, the help will be there when they need it. They probably need it now, but don’t know it.
    
Putting the books into every Catholic college student eReader is a daunting task. But, consider this: the Gideons put Bibles into every hotel room in the nation. What an amazing feat! Putting books into eReaders should be considerably easier. We’ll never get there if we don’t take the first step.
